Patterns, colors and memories from Mexico 🇲🇽 Patterns, colors and memories from Mexico 🇲🇽✨
The new collaboration I'm doing with @kaihana.fr is based on my recent artspiration trip in the beautiful country of Mexico. Here you can see details of the artwork I created as part of an exclusive "capsule collection" that will be released later this year!
In parallel to these I'm also sharing with you pictures I took while I was travelling. I grabbed my Nikon reflex camera and 3 lenses my father gave me years ago. I love taking pictures while I travel. It's another type of creation where the game is to capture an instant, an emotion or an atmosphere.
The various lenses are setting limits in the process but it's a way to deliberately choose what to capture, thinking of the composition of the image you'd like to get. I love it!
Do you also like to take pictures while you're traveling?
Can you feel the connection between the artwork and the photos?

Sending some Tropical vibes with the latest projec Sending some Tropical vibes with the latest project I did a few weeks ago in Mexico 🌴🌞🖌️.
👉🏼👀Swipe right to discover the full mural painted in Bacalar.
I created this fluid shape that is going through all the wall. It represents a sort of timeline. Water where life appeared and Stromatolites were probably the first life form that appeared. If we look now, it's kinda crazy to see how life just blossomed in every direction on earth 🌎.
So important to keep these Stromatolites formations in Bacalar lagoon alive and protecting them.
It's a way to thank them back for the gift of life right?

The mural can be found in Front of the "hotelito Paraíso".
Thanks again Mexico, I had a total blast discovering your country, your culture, your art, your people and your nature.
Promising you I'll be back with art and travel 😉👋🏼.

As I'm back in Europe , I started working on a special project that will highlight this "artspiration trip" in Mexico. So stay tuned I'll unveil some of it here soon.

How to paint a mural in 1 minute? Naaa, it's not How to paint a mural in 1 minute?
Naaa, it's not about beating speed records but more about the experience of sharing artistic moments with beautiful people, collaborating with the local community and also enjoying the creative process.
Here's a 1 minute video to show you the process of the mural created for the "Mesoamerican reef day 2025" in Bacalar Lagoon ( in front of the hotelito Paraíso).
The mural is 18,5 meters long X1,85 high.
Thanks for the great vibes @visitbacalar 🙏🏼🫶🏼🌊✨!

Thank you very much for the great vibes Bacalar! 🙏🏼🌊✨ Hope to be back soon !
Just finished a new mural project in Mexico in a very special place right next to the Bacalar Lagoon.
(The mural is located in front of the "hotelito Paraíso").
This project was made possible with the collaboration of @restorecoral and @yzproyectos to celebrate the "Mesoamerican Reef Day 2025".
🌊 The artwork is highlighting a very special sedimentary formation that looks like rocks but when observed through a microscope, is hosting a really diverse and prolific microorganisms living in simbiosis together.
🦠2 facts about Stromatolites:
1- Stromatolites is the oldest form of life known on earth: 2.45 billions years ago 🤯 way before any other life form. In comparison dinosaurs appeared 2,35 millions of years ago 🤯🤯
2- There are few places on earth where Stromatolites can still be found. Bacalar Lagoon is one of these few places ( and the microorganisms are alive! ).

I'm very thankful I had the opportunity to create a visual tribute to this fragile ecosystem of the Bacalar Lagoon. The biodiversity of earth appeared thanks to these sedimentary formations. It's so important to protect it.
Special thanks to all the people that made this project an unforgettable experience: Roberto, Rosa,Marco, Claudia, Sofia, Ruben, Jacqui, Xime, Dan , the Bacalar municipality and all the people who gave a hand to paint this collaborative mural. It wouldn't have been possible to achieve it in a very short time without the sum of the community efforts.
I learned a lot from you all and you made my Bacalar stay wonderful.
