Drawing lines to locate elements of my new paintin Drawing lines to locate elements of my new painting 🎨.
I'm sharing with you a bit of the process. This is one of the first step: Background is done and now it's time to place the main elements of the painting. I'm drawing them with pencil and then ink them with the brush.
I'll be painting over these lines but they definitely will serve as a guide for the color part.
Let me know in the comments of you've got some questions.

This one is all about fluidity and shades of colors mixing together.
I love how watercolor can achieve this type of rich gradients.

What do you think of it? More about it: 👉

In my paintings on paper I'm specially interested in the contrast between the randomness and accidents of watercolor in opposition to the acrylic lines that are more controlled and made using very small brushes.

Sketchbook time.✍️✏️ Here's a drawing I cr Sketchbook time.✍️✏️
Here's a drawing I created during the @vueling flight from Barcelona to Berlin a few days ago.
(3h approx because I had to refine few things after landing).
I start with a blank page with no idea nor references and then I let the mind flow and pen fill the pages.
That's a good challenge because the plane is moving and there can be turbulences. But I like to draw in the air.
Maybe I get closer from the inspiration source?

Blue pencil lead by @pilotpenfrance , @sakura_europe pens on my @cansonpaper sketchbook.
Let me know if you like to see some drawings here too.

✨A Safe Shelter Under The Branches.✨ 29X42cm - ✨A Safe Shelter Under The Branches.✨
29X42cm - watercolor on paper - 2023
This new painting is my submission for the project #sketchforsurvival organized by @explorersagainstextinction .

A few words about this painting:

I imagined this "aquatic bonsais tree" made of corals because coral reefs underwater are playing the same role as forest on land. They provide food and shelter to many species, big or small.

Most part of the coral reefs are facing the threat of coastal pollution, sea warming and ocean acidification. They're bleaching, becoming white and die.
As they're located under the level of the sea most part of the people are not aware of these damages. It's like having most part of our forests on land losing their leaves or a part of it. Would be quite impactful right?

I represented the coral reef as the tree to symbolise how beautiful and fragile these reefs can be. Like bonsais trees they're hosting some micro-environments in their hearts. I represented some hawksbill sea turtles, scalloped hammerhead and humphead wrasse fishes. These bigger species are specifically endangered species that are searching for some safe Shelter and circling around the coral tree looking for protection.
Humans have the power to keep this bonsai coral tree in great condition as well as the species that are living around and inside it 💧🌊💚🌿🦈.

An explosion of colors and tiny details to create a graphic tribute celebrating the coral reefs beauty and the vital importance of the reefs and many many species underwater. I created this artwork to support the project #sketchforsurvival organized by @explorersagainstextinction that is using art to educate and protect endangered wildlife species.
