Hi everyone. We’re closing this collaboration week Hi everyone. We’re closing this collaboration week with BowSeat today, and it was a real pleasure for me. Thanks everyone for your comments and opinions. I hope you liked this creative exploration and that you liked to dive into my eco-surrealism world.

As the last topic to explore today, this one I feel is one of the most important in the artistic journey:

"Perseverance": finding creative hope to face the climate crisis.

When I started as a young creative, I often felt a bit lost. I was excited to create and proud that I was creating something out of my hand. By practicing , I discoveres that some very valuable skills in life take time, sometimes years or decades, to appear and show bigger results. So it is often easier to get discouraged and feel we are not enough.

It is resonating even stronger nowadays with the climate crisis and the rise of artificial intelligence. What impact do we have as an individual? Is art useful in this massive mission to adapt? How can I compete with a computer that generates images in 2 seconds?

Well, the truth is that in the short term, there’s no solution; it seems like an impossible battle.
But it’s a lie to think that art can be instantly good. It’s a process, and it is deeply linked with your emotions. Creative people have this special talent, transforming emotions into a creation to share with others. It’s a gift to humanity, right? Machines are trying to imitate this gift, but truth is that it’s an empty copy of something scrapped on the web. Perseverance is also the key to fighting the climate crisis. There is no easy fix, no shortcut.

Using art as a tool to inspire people and contribute to environmental protection is a process. It has meaning. A bigger purpose. This meaning is what can give you hope, hope that you’re not staying passive, and you raise your creative voice. When I see the creations of BowSeat, the young creative community, it gives me hope. I feel connected to other humans who are acting peacefully and who are inspiring the world in such a special way.

One last question:
What are the hopes inside of you that you’d like to share out there with the world through your art?

For the 4th day of this BowSeat collaboration take For the 4th day of this BowSeat collaboration takeover, I wanted to speak about an important topic for me:

My question to you?

Should artists show elements that could be perceived as "negative" through their art? I’m really interested in having your feedback on this one.

When I watch artists through history, it’s clear that the artist has always played a crucial role in sharing both beautiful creations as well as much more controversial or heavy messages about our societies. With the modern age and the social media era, everything tends to get hidden or softened in order to please the eye of the consumer. Very few are showing low moments on social media, as we don’t want to be judged or perceived as failures. The fact is that no matter how successful or perfect people seem to be on the "social media vitrine", we all have problems, doubts, fears, and failures in our lives.

The art market doesn’t really help artists to share more profound works, not aligned with the decorative tendencies of the art world. Art should be created to sell? I would recommend all creatives not be fooled by these trends.

A balance should be found to sustain your career and stay authentic to your vision. Creating with honesty and with your emotions is your best chance to have the chance to connect strongly to the public. It’s not the easy path, but in the long term, it's really worth it. Look at the masterpieces in the museums of the world. We see all sorts of works, some of them would be perfect for your wall; some others were not made to please the eye but to transmit, educate, and denounce.

So today, I asked you this question, but I’ve got a strong conviction that artists & creatives should have the freedom to speak about all aspects of life, the duality of it (if they feel they want to do it). It is more powerful than we think it is and a great way to transmit values, creating visual statements of our times, viewed through the creative scope of your imagination.

Today, let’s explore together the path I follow to Today, let’s explore together the path I follow to create art about the environment. I’m using this colorful visual universe that I call "Eco-Surrealism." I mix surrealism with environmental preservation. Connecting dreamscapes and symbolism.

Why make this specific choice? Well, I’ve been following BowSeat's young creatives, and I’m always amazed by how you guys use imagination to transmit messages. When I watch your paintings, I feel I don’t have much to teach on the topic because I often find in your artistic creations shared on their account, a lot of creativity and powerful images.

To those who didn't tried yet to use dreams or imagination in their artistic attempts, I’m inviting you to try; it’s both fun and challenging, and the result can be very poetic.

I’m a strong believer in the power of human imagination. If we look in history, we see that humans have imagined all sorts of things to adapt, control, and experiment with. Things that were absolutely impossible 100 years ago are now accessible. That’s why I’m using surrealism in my art.

I feel humans need to pass over the barriers of our reality, the dawning signs of our unbalanced relationship with nature, in order to reinvent possible futures. Using your imagination is helping your brain to explore and not staying stuck in a "scenario." It is one of the most powerful talents creatives have to inspire people and protect their mental health.

My question to you: Do you think dreams can change life paths and make an impact in society?

Bonjour à tous et toutes :) So let’s start our ex Bonjour à tous et toutes :)

So let’s start our exploration and dialogue. Today I’m inviting us to speak about art as a tool to contribute to creating a better future.

Let’s face it, the modern world is getting more complex and fast-paced. Information is everywhere, and now we even have problems checking if this information is correct or not. We all can feel anxiety and feel down when we stay too long scrolling on our phones. We’re losing some connection with nature, right? The place where we come from and where we belong.

I believe that art is a powerful tool to reconnect us with nature and our emotions. If you take the time to create art, with strong expectations or just as a hobby, you open a space to breathe and connect with your inner feelings. It’s a door to express them without words and take the time to observe the natural wonders of our world.
Often in my paintings, I’m representing the richness of biodiversity. Explosion of infinite designs, shapes and colours. Sharing this with the world (a friend, family members, or a larger audience) is a strong and inspiring personal contribution to show that you care and you celebrate nature. It's an action.

Here’s a question to you: What do we need to reinvent a better future?

Bonjour, everyone! My name is Ladislas, and this w Bonjour, everyone! My name is Ladislas, and this week I’ve got the pleasure to team up with the « Bow Seat » project to share and explore together how art can inspire us to reimagine our connection with the natural world.

A few words about me:

I’m French and based in Barcelona, Spain. I’m an artist, illustrator, and « artivist. » I found my personal way to share my passion for art and put it at the service of a bigger mission: contributing to raising awareness about nature’s preservation. Years of creative exploration led me to develop my own visual style that I call « Eco-Surrealism. »

The concept is easy:

Using imagination and alternate reality to invent new narratives and share messages with the public to operate a reconnection between humans and nature through visual arts. This is very aligned with what I'm doing at Bow Seat, so I’m very happy to collaborate with them and explore this exciting creative field.

In the next few days, I’ll share some of my art here and will open discussion on various topics and subjects. I’d love to have your opinion about these and have you part of the creative discussion. Let’s start with a few images and videos about some artworks and the studio where I create this art.

Watching colors...

Watching gradients...

Seeking smiles... (and snacks)

Chasing some fun...

Open windows on new perspectives...

Beautiful colors to stay amazed...

Salty air and waves...

Riding some of them when possible...

Adding some colorful ones on paper too...

Letting me drive to places, releasing control...

Staying silent and just watch...

Being excited by them...

Calm down...

And watch far for new possibilities to come...
