I travelled To New York City to realize a painting during two live painting sessions. I was invited by “PeaceBoat US” to participate in the “Ocean Gala NY” and create an artwork inspired by the UN World Ocean Day 2026: “REIMAGINE“.
This activity was part of the art and culture program “Tidal Shifts”.
I decided to create this artwork only by using lines. The idea behind this “Thousand lines challenge” is to symbolize that alone, one line is lost on the immensity of the white canvas. But, with dedication, patience, and passion, other lines can join, and all together they can create a big impact and intricate visual. It is for me a way to speak about the importance of collaboration between actors when it comes to ocean preservation. I do think it is a global effort where everyone should have a part to play, and collaboration is the cement for a cultural and educational change.
