In order to change mentalities and trigger a positive impact in the citizens it is necessary to communicate and talk about oceans through innovative and more emotionally-based narratives.

PangeaSeed are pioneer in this field and harness the power of creativity and art to speak about ocean challenges in a more inclusive and inspiring way. As part of the off-site official program, Pangeaseed approached me to do a live painting in Gallery Neo and show how art can be used as a powerful tool to reconnect the emotion in the ecological crisis.
During 6 days I painted live an artwork inspired by the Mediterranean sea and its challenges.

Concept: This painting is a symbolic representation of the Mediterranean sea. The beauty and diversity of it, but also the challenges and issues affecting its ecosystem.
I want to convey in this painting the duality of our vision when we’re looking at the sea. The calmness and peace it transmits to us when we look at it from the shore, but also the great complexity and explosion of life when we actually watch it from a closer view beneath the surface.
